We are an independent record label founded by Låpsley, based in London, UK. Originally the title of her self-released work from 2014, HER OWN RECORDINGS represents a decade-long vision, now brought to life as a platform for women and non-binary led projects with a focus on master ownership and genuine collaboration.

Self-funded and driven by a commitment to reshaping the industry narrative, we take a roundtable approach to releases, putting the artist and professional industry collaborators at the core of each project.

While rooted in music, we have our sights set on broader creative horizons, with future plans to expand into poetry, events, and education. It’s a space built for and by artists, with an ambition to set new standards in musical independence and artistic ownership for women and non-binary individuals, as well as empower the collaborators that make independent releases possible.
